Angela Wojtecki

Angela Wojtecki, MLIS 
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Minor in Child Development-The University of Akron (2006)
Master's Degree in Library and Information Science, with Library Media K-12 Licensure- Kent State University (2009)
Google for Education Certified Trainer (2015)
Certified Google Educator Level 1  (2020)

About Angela:
Angela has been with Nordonia Hills City Schools since 2012. She loves all things technology and library. She currently is the facilitator for the Know-How Nordonia staff professional development series in addition to being the 1:1 Integration Specialist and District Librarian. She also is a Past President of the Ohio Educational Library Media Association and represented Ohio school librarians at the national level through the American Association of School Librarians. Angela is currently serving on the American Association of School Librarians Best Tools for Teaching and Learning Committee for the second two year term. She has also been chosen as a 2021 Scholastic Librarican™️.

Angela helps co-teach the district's Knights of the Tech Table professional development series with fellow colleagues Jason Witschey, Angela Cottrell,  and Kelly Nyzen and also serves as Technology Advocate for the High School. She also is the host of the Nordonia Hills City Schools' Podcast series: Nordonia Innovators.  Angela was awarded the 2018 Information Technology Innovator Award, The 2019 School Library Media Specialist of the Year from the Ohio Educational Library Media Association, and recently the 2022 OELMA Outstanding Contributor Award. 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading young adult literature, meeting authors, traveling, and making lots of memories with her daughter. She thinks school librarians today should be two things: innovative and fun, and her goal is to break the many stereotypes that exist in the field of librarianship-one at a time!
